Will Smith To Star In Sci-fi Film ‘Brilliance’ | Film News
Oscar Award-winning actor Will Smith is set to star in the new science-fiction film titled Brilliance, being developed by Legendary Pictures. Smith is set to play Nick Cooper, a federal agent who has a remarkable gift for catching terrorists, in the Julius Onah-directed flick.
The film is set in Wyoming where one percent of people are born with exceptional gifts and called the ‘brilliants’. Gifts range from a young girl who can see a person’s darkest secrets by the way they fold their arms, to a billionaire who makes his fortune by sensing patterns in the stock market. Detective Cooper meets his match when he tries to track down a terrorist who is also a ‘brilliant’. To catch the terrorist, Cooper must disregard his morals and use a method that risks the lives of ‘brilliants’ such as him.
The film Brilliance is a screen adaptation of Marcus Sakey’s 2013 novel of the same name. The filming for this project has not yet begun but you can catch Will Smith next in the cinema courtesy of the film Focus alongside Margot Robbie and Rodrigo Santoro.
