On Monday, September 21, the country will be introduced to the latest instalment of radio history as the sound of Radio X greets our ears. A star studded line up of personalities have been confirmed as we see the likes of Vernon Kay, Johnny Vaughan and the biggest of all – Chris Moyles – take to the microphone to present the latest in rock and guitar music.
The station it replaces, XFM, will live long in the memories of listeners and bands alike after launching the careers of many artists now playing festivals across the globe. Already being dubbed as a station for ‘Dad Rock’, Radio X is coming out all guns blazing with a multi-million pound advertising campaign and hoping to attract much more than just a 25-45 year old male listenership. It’s been hyped for a long time as something we will have never seen before, now it’s time to put the money where the mouth is. R.I.P XFM!
