The trailer for Zac Efron’s new Ted Bundy film has dropped, and the UK is anticipating the release. Though we haven’t been given a date yet, the film will likely release soon, as it has already released in the US.
It follows the story of Ted Bundy, one of the most notorious serial killers to date, and his wife, played by Lily Collins.
Though the film has mixed reviews, with some claiming that the film sexualises the murderer and rapist, others have noted that this is exactly what Bundy was like in his life, and why it was hard to pin him down as a convict.
With mixed reviews, it might be seen as controversial due to the ‘pretty boy’ stigma that Efron has, after playing typecast roles in High School Musical, Hairspray and other comedic roles in Bad Neighbours and Baywatch.
However, this could be his breakaway film from all of that, and we mustn’t judge someone’s acting skills based on their looks. He is clearly a talented actor, and I certainly look forward to watching him perform as the wickedly disturbed serial killer.
