Zazie Beetz To Star In Steven Soderbergh’s HBO Max Limited Series ‘Full Circle’

Over a year since it was announced that Steven Soderbergh would be making a series for HBO Max, and we finally have news of the lead. Zazie Beetz has been cast in the series, a crime drama titled Full Circle that will run for six episodes.

The show is set in modern New York City and revolves around an investigation being conducted following a failed kidnapping attempt. The aftermath of the ruined plot is primed to reveal long-hidden secrets that span across the city. We don’t know anything about Beetz’s character yet.

All six episodes of the series will be written by Ed Solomon, a frequent collaborator with Soderbergh who has previously written modern day noir No Sudden Move and Mosaic, the other series Soderbergh made for HBO with Sharon Stone.

Beetz broke out on critically acclaimed series Atlanta and has gone on to play key roles in films such as Joker, Deadpool 2, Nine Days, and most recently, Bullet Train. She’s currently in talks for the upcoming Joker sequel and will also appear in the much-hyped sixth season of Black Mirror.

Soderbergh is currently working under a deal with HBO, so all his projects for the foreseeable future will be with them in some way. His most recent film for HBO Max was thriller Kimi with Zoe Kravitz, and he’s currently developing the third Magic Mike film, Magic Mike’s Last Dance, for the streaming platform.

There’s currently no word yet on whether that or Full Circle is more likely to arrive first. But more Soderbergh is always a good thing.
