Movie veteran Aaron Eckhart is looking to build up his TV resume by joining Amazon anthology series The Romanoffs. The series comes from Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner who reunites with some of the cast in this new project, namely Christina Hendricks and John Slattery.

The Romanoffs “features stories about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family“. The cast also includes Isabelle Huppert, Amanda Peet, Jack Huston, and Marthe Keller. Weiner will write, direct, and produce the series.

Aaron Eckhart gained considerable attention for playing the love interest in Erin Brockovich (2000), but is probably most popular for playing Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight (2008). Most recently, he was seen Clint Eastwood‘s Sully, opposite Tom Hanks.

Character details and a certain release date have not been released, but the series will be made available on Amazon Prime Video next year.
