Actor Ansel Elgort has been booked as the new face for Polo Red Rush, the new men’s fragrance for Ralph Lauren.
Having been busy attending Paris Fashion Week with his girlfriend, Violetta Komyshan, the actor-turned DJ/singer is now adding another fashion gig to his resume. Elgort is serving as the new face for the famous fashion brand’s fragrance and from the teaser released, he is definitely enjoying the ride.
The one minute and half ad is a fast-chasing spot channelling Elgort’s role in Baby Drive, and it features a swooning Elgort in his tailored black dress eyeing up a stunning brunette, who is djing at a party. Of course things can just get more interesting from here, as the two take off together in their sporty, racing cars towards the sunset.
Filmed between Los Angeles, Arizona and California‘s most beautiful landmarks, the video has that retro style, thanks to an heavy use of neon colors, that perfectly captures the message Ralph Lauren wants to get across of a fresh, young and sexy fragrance.
Elgort was exited about the collaboration, stating that “I feel like things have come full circle because I’ve been a fan of the brand for a long time. Ralph Lauren is really iconic“.
It seems like there is no speeding ticket for Ansel Elgort, at least no any time soon. The actor, who rose to fame with The Fault In Our Stars and, then, starred in several critical acclaimed and successful movies, is effortlessly riding at his own pace.
Aside from acting, he is also enjoying a stint of successful songs’ releases, under his alterego: Ansolo. He premiered several tracks on his SoundCloud, and, now, the young DJ’s single “Home Alone” can be heard in the Polo’s campaign.
