Golden Globe Nominations 2016: The Complete List | Film News

The frenzy has begun. The Golden Globes, the more laid-back sibling to the Oscars, has unveiled its nominees. Get ready for some disappointments (once again, where is Tom Hardy?) and some surprises (Sylvester Stallone’s first nomination since 1977). The nominations were announced on Thursady morning at the crack of dawn by Angela Bassett, Chloe Grace Moretz, America Ferrera, and Dennis Quaid in Los Angeles.

This year’s awards will be handed out on January 10, 2016. Ricky Gervais will be taking over after Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s three year (and wonderfully funny) reign. So hold onto your Golden Globes, people. Especially you, Steve Carell. Also, friends and two of the most lovable women in the biz, Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence will face off in the best actress category – making it the must-see event of 2016.
