Manchester’s Victoria Station Becomes Victoria Wood Station As Fans Of The Late Comedian Pay Tribute | TV News
A truly amazing tribute to a beloved and missed comedian. Victoria Station became Victoria Wood station as hundreds of the late comedians fans turned out to celebrate her life and career. The Northern comedian who passed away following a battle with cancer in April would have been proud as Manchester’s Victoria Station was filled with hundreds of gathered fans appeared dressed up as some of their favourite Wood characters.
Close friends of the late comedian were also in attendance, one was clutching an old school photo and the school hat whilst another praised the late comedian for becoming the patron for the charity she set up in honour of her daughter, who died aged nine.
