Current X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw faces the axe from the panel after reportedly failing to impress Simon Cowell. After mixing up the judges and adding shiny, new presenters in Caroline Flack and Olly Murs, the ITV talent contest’s ratings have not improved, and it is thought changes will be made.
If reports are correct, they will come as quite a shock to Grimshaw, who received reassurance from Cowell earlier in the year. The Radio 1 DJ revealed, “Simon told me, ‘This is the nature of the beast – you’re in the goldfish bowl, everyone has something to say“. With names like Louis Tomlinson, Louis Walsh and Tony Hadley already being thrown around as potential replacements, it doesn’t look good for Grimmy.
