Russian Film Studio Responds To DiCaprio’s Interest In Playing Lenin | Film News
The Russian film studio LenFilm has offered Leonardo DiCaprio the chance of portraying a famous Communist Revolutionary: Vladimir Lenin. This came after an interview with German newspaper, ‘Welt on Sonntag’, where DiCaprio expressed a keen interest in playing other famous Russians on film, such as Grigori Rasputin, the mystical faith healer to Tsar Nicholas II and even the current Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
DiCaprio reportedly stated: ‘Putin would be very, very interesting, I would like to play him very much.’
While DiCaprio is yet to respond to this offer, he certainly won’t have trouble attracting any other successful acting roles. His latest outing as Hugh Glass in The Revenant has won him a Golden Globe and earned him an Oscar nomination.
