Willem Dafoe Joins ‘Justice League’ | Film News
Fans of superhero movies will already be familiar with Willem Dafoe for his role as the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi‘s Spider-Man. Having made an impression as the mentally disturbed Norman Osborne, Dafoe is making the switch from Marvel to DC by picking up a role in Zach Snyder‘s Justice League.
There is no word yet on what this role will be, but there are suggestions that he could be playing the big bad of the DC universe: Darkseid. With the character having been teased in Batman v Superman and Dafoe’s natural creepiness, would it be too much to hope? If the Hollywood Reporter is to be believed then yes, as they have suggested Dafoe will be a “good guy.” Curses.
We shall no doubt learn more of Dafoe’s role in due time. For the moment, we know that Justice League will bring together Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg into the legendary team in order to combat a threat to big for any of them to handle single-handedly.
Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Mamoa, Ray Fisher and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, the better alternative to The Avengers that is Justice League will arrive in cinemas November 17, 2017.
