Christmas has come early for the 6LACK fans the world over! The ATL artist just dropped off an extended version of “Unfair“, the opener of his recently released East Atlanta Love Letter album but it wasn’t a single release as he debuted a fresh new record this New Music Friday called “Been a While“.
Featuring production by Fwdslxsh and Neenyo, this smooth, laid-back cut sees BLACK reflecting on a romantic relationship. Occupying the atmosphere of the beat without in his undeniably brilliant way, he makes sure to detail the thin line between “want” and “need”. His signature sound shines through, much like experienced veteran.
Should this have made the album? Will this prompt a deluxe edition? Only time will tell but certainly this is certainly another nicely done effort from the East Atlanta man? With Grammy season just around the corner, this is a great way to build momentum. Maybe he’ll bring home a trophy or two.
