The incredibly fresh and fun Farmfest is returning for a 9th edition of good music, good causes and good times. The festival is taking place at Gilcombe farm in Somerset for a full two days of music, food and activities on the 1st and 2nd of August. The organisers of this festival started Farmfest as a party for friends and it has remained that way 9 years on (they have just gained a load more friends is those 9 years).
Farmfest does not believe in hype or inflated prices, they just want to provide a place where people can have a good time whilst seeing a genre defying selection of music, from up and coming talents, cult heroes, local stars, inspiring arts activities, amazing charities and all of this set on the beautiful Somerset backdrop. Headliners for Farmest 2014 include Ralph Lawson, DJ Food, The Hot 8 Brass Band, Coves, Public Service Broadcasting (this will be his first festival headline show), and many more. There will also be local ciders, and amazing food sourced from local farmers.
If this is appealing to your appetite then allow me to just give you that extra little nudge needed, you can be a part of all this for a measly £53 plus free parking and camping. DJ Food has also put together a sun and summer ‘Children of the Sun’ mix just for the festival, which can be listened to here, and there is also a brand new website that can be viewed here.
