“I am the son, I am the heir”… Many are those who fondly remember the iconic TV show about the Halliwell sisters, which aired on The WB from 1998 to 2006. That is why, when the remake of Charmed was first announced, it received a bit of backlash from the original fanbase.
Producers’ decision to set the reboot series in a university with a trio of latina sisters had fans worried that the new TV show would have nothing to do with the initial Power of Three drama.
In an Us Weekly interview earlier this year, Madeleine Mantock – who stars as one of the three new witches – confused us even more with her evasive comments about the show : “We want to honor what the original Charmed had and did but we’ve very much got our own thing going on”.
Fortunately, the revival’s first trailer released by the CW gives us a better overview on what to expect. The only question is : will you be Charmed by the foretaste of what is to come ?
