“Traded in the diamonds and champagne for chardonnay” sings Zach Hannah in the retro style jam “Summer Days“, capturing perfectly the vibe of the song and the direction the band is about to take.
After their debut album, GALLERY, dropped this May, ARIZONA have experienced a rising curve regarding their growing fanbase and popularity. Things are looking sharp for the young trio, who is gearing up to open for Panic! At The Disco on their arena tour.
For the occasion, the alternative pop band has dropped two new singles, the aforementioned “Summer Days” and “Freaking Out“. Both tracks encapsulate a specific ARIZONA sound, made of electro vibes and synth-pop elements that gives the songs a nostalgic flavor as well as a more upbeat tempo when the songs call for it.
“Summer Day” is a light-hearted, dancy offering, that still manages to retain some dirty rock inside. The song, about cold nights turning into summer days by a beautiful girl, who “know she got it” makes perfect sense as a July release.
The second single “Freaking Out” is infused by the band’s trademark sound of catchy pop beats. Hannah’s warm voice compliments the more serious lyrical content of the track. The feeling of being trapped inside your own head unravels a scream and shout chorus that makes you want to sing along to the song’s anthem “I’m freaking out“.
With a tour on the horizon and two new songs just released, the future looks bright for the trio from New Jersey, who definitely have more up their sleeves for the upcoming season.
