June 25 2021 will be the day we see a brand new Batman. Yes, that’s right. Ben Affleck is hanging up the cloak and mask in order to pave the way for a new actor to take on the exciting vigilante role.
The reason for this is that Warner Bros are concentrating on Bruce Wayne as a youngster, so it’ll be like nothing we’ve seen before on the big screen.
According to Deadline, “Matt Reeves boarded Batman in February 2017, taking over for Affleck who was originally set to direct a script he wrote with DC’s Geoff Johns”.
“Affleck, we understand has a busy plate: As Deadline exclusively broke he is starring in and producing the feature adaptation of Kate Alice Marshall‘s novel I Am Still Alive, which Universal won in a competitive bidding scenario”.
“The two-time Oscar winner is also starring in the Warner Bros.’ Gavin O’Connor drama Torrance. Affleck worked hard on The Batman story, but knew he wasn’t the right one for this particular version. A search is underway for a new Dark Knight”.
On Twitter, Affleck posted this:
Excited for #TheBatman in Summer 2021 and to see @MattReevesLA vision come to life. https://t.co/GNgyJroMIO

And fans responses were ver heartfelt:
If this is your way of saying goodbye then I just want to say thank you for giving us such a beautiful performance in BVS. I had the privilege of meeting you and what I told you remains the same. You will always be my Batman. Your performance saved my life. I’m gonna miss u 💔

It has also been reported that 2021’s Batman will fly – we’re assuming with some kind of technological cape?
