Fresh off the success of his debut album All Or Nothing, which was released in May, and his latest single “Nothing Feels The Same“, British Asian singer and songwriter AMiR is set to make his Glastonbury Festival debut this weekend on the BBC Introducing stage, alongside the likes of XamVolo and Ta’Shan, who we have both featured here before.
Born in North-London to a Punjabi father and a mother from the midlands, AMiR has always had a burning passion for music. Since a young age, music has been the only path for the gifted performer. Starting with the drums, he soon found music an addiction taking on the guitar and piano. Since then, he’s worked to become the complete musician.
AMiR now comes with strong support from the likes of Spotify, Kiss FM, BBC Asian Network, BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, and of course BBC Introducing, and he has also gotten to work with Grammy Award winning producers, such as Peter and Daniel (Matoma, Galantis, DFA), and Patrick Patrikios (Little Mix).
The product of a lifetime of live performance, hard work and a dedication to his craft – Is the aptly named debut album All Or Nothing. Unapologetically retro, it’s a soulful tracklist that’s rich with influence across the spectrum of funk, soul, disco and pop.
You can catch him down at the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury on Sunday, find out more details here, and check out his album below.
