Brilliant Liverpool five piece outfit Etches return with their highly anticipated second single titled “Ice Cream Dream Machine”, which sees the group exploring new sounds and experimenting with genres, whilst of course maintaining their pop infusions that established them their initial fan base and followers. “Ice Cream Dream Machine” is a real breathe of fresh air from the majority of other tracks in the charts at the minute.
With its mix of electronica, array of textures and hooks and real depth, with lyrics that deal with themes of modern-day alienation in a consumer driven world, the song’s abstract social commentary underscores an ominous yet strangely uplifting aesthetic. The forthcoming single will be released on October 13th via CLUB.THE.MAMMOTH, with supporting shows at St Pancras Old Church in London on October 1, and East Village Arts Club in Liverpool on the 2nd of October.
