Mark Ronson Set To Headline Edinburgh’s Hogmany Party | Music News

Mark Ronson has been confirmed as this year’s headliner for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebration.

He will be the first DJ to play at Hogmanay in the Gardens, who have promised “the party of a lifetime” this New Year’s Eve.

There will also be a street party hosted by Johnnie Walker and a torchlight procession around the city, culminating in the historic Holyrood Park.

Charlie Wood and Ed Bartlam, directors of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, said about Ronson headlining, “In our third year producing Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, we’re bringing one of the biggest DJs in the world to Edinburgh to throw one almighty party”.

Councillor Donald Wilson, Edinburgh’s culture and communities convener, said, “Edinburgh’s Hogmanay continues to be the best New Year’s Party in the world. With his impressive back catalogue and current chart toppers what better way to say goodbye to 2019, bring in the bells and herald in the new decade”.

In June, Ronson released his fifth studio album Late Night Feelings, which featured vocals from stars including Camilla Cabello, Miley Cyrus and Lykke Li.

He also performed a set at Glastonbury, treating fans to a duet with Miley Cyrus where they covered Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black”, which Ronson performed with the late singer in 2007.

Tickets for Hogmanay in the Gardens will go on sale on July 22 at 10:00am.
