Legend on the House scene Donae’O has now revealed the official music video for his new single and cover of Haddaway’s 90s dance anthem “What Is Love”, as premiered via Complex UK and was directed by SBTV’s Morgan Keyz. The video features a number of cameos from the likes of Skepta, Jamal Edwards and Princess Nyah all adding to the brilliance of this London based visual, which was shot in an array of locations all over the big city including Oxford Street and on the set of Skepta’s “That’s Not Me” remix video shoot.
Donae’O has shook up the original track with a more modern House backdrop, which was first premiered by MistaJam earlier in the summer, with the DJ saying how Donae’O had created a version “not only credible, not only current, but vocally better than the original”, leading to listeners being completely blown away by DonaeO’s ability to, dare I say improve such a classic, with DJs Target and Nick Bright also showing the single some love on BBC 1Xtra. The visuals and the audio go hand in hand with their creativity and their beautiful production leaving behind a simply stunning gift for us all to enjoy, so go ahead, check it out and enjoy.
