Lana Del Rey is not letting her fans rest! The singer has just announced via a post on her Instagram account that she has a new album on the way.
Only a few days after the release of her album Chemtrails Over The Country Club, the singer has just announced that she is already planning to release her second album of the year. The album is called Rock Candy Sweet and we already knows that album arrives on June 1.
The singer’s Instagram stories also offer a little more information about the album in progress. Indeed, Lana Del Rey shared a screenshot of a Harper’s Bazaar article and added “Just want to thank you again for the kind articles like this one and for reminding me that my career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse. I will continue to challenge those thoughts on my next record on June 1 titled ‘Rock Candy Sweet'”.
Her next album will therefore counter accusations laid against her of “cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse”.
Her album Chemtrails Over The Country Club was released on March 19, having been announced almost a year before, but the album was delayed due to the pandemic. Rock Candy Sweet will be the singer’s eighth studio album and third project in under a year.
