Beatrice Laus, whose stage name is Beabadoobee is a 20 year-old Filippo-born British singer.
Beabadoobee has shared a brand new song called “Last Day On Earth“, which was co-written and produced by The 1975 members Matty Healy and George Daniel “on a farm in the countryside“.
Both musicians have also worked on Beabadoobee forthcoming EP Our Extended Play which is due to be out this spring. The singer comes on the back of a stellar 2020, which saw her win the ‘NME Radar Award’ at the NME Awards, and be nominated for the ‘Rising Star Award’ at the BRIT Awards as well.
Before her debut solo album Fake It Flowers last year, she released four EPs under independent label Dirty Hit, and she was also the supporting act for the 1975 during their Music For Cars Tour as well as for Clairo during her Immunity Tour.
According to the indie-rock singer, her new track “Last Day On Earth” is “about all the things I would have done had I known we were going into a lockdown and the world was going to change the way it has”. All of her thoughts are accompanied by impressive visuals released the same day as the song on the singer’s official YouTube channel.
She also commented on her upcoming EP:”I wanted to experiment on the sounds and sonics even more and the EP to me has a feeling of togetherness to it… how we’re all in this joined as one.” On top of all the releases, Beabadoobee will embark on a UK and Ireland tour in September, and you can buy your tickets by following this link.
