Singer-Songwriter Beth Macari performed her track “Hanging By A String” for Ont’ Sofa Prime Sessions yesterday (April 28). With the tag line ‘Standing Up For Real Music’, Ont’ Sofa gives new and emerging bands the opportunity to promote their music, where they perform a session which is recorded, then shared online through Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and the On’t Sofa Official Website.
Beth has been performing as a singer for many years, providing vocals for Nick Pride & The Pimptones and backing vocals for Jane Mcdonald. Releasing her debut single “Heartstrings” in November 2014, she managing to get to #18 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart. Currently Beth is working hard on her upcoming EP The Girl With The Red Hair, which is being released in three parts – part One named SEX and the next single “Break Me Down” is due to be released on April 13.
Yesterday Beth popped into On’t Sofa to perform a two-song session for them, with two of her band mates. Performing a stripped down and jazzy version of her track “Hanging By A String”, accompanied only by guitar and keyboard, Beth’s stunning and strong vocals fit perfectly into the performance.
