Alex Kingston’s River Song To Return For ‘Doctor Who’ Season Nine? | TV News
With the ninth season of Doctor Who commencing production and currently being filmed by the BBC, Steven Moffat has expressed that fans should expect a comeback for Alex Kingston’s character River Song. It appears too good to be true if Kingston and Peter Capaldi, who plays the Doctor, can join forces together to defeat the Daleks (let’s not use them as an example) the Cybermen.
While at Mega-con, Alex Kingston commented on her return saying, “all I can say is… spoilers! But what I will say is the sonic screwdriver that I had in Silence In The Library, which had been given to me by the Doctor, is not the sonic screwdriver that has been seen… yet”. With The Doctor, Peter Capaldi armed with his sonic screwdriver and his companion Clara (Jenna Coleman) back on our screens in Autumn 2015 with a six-part series, will they be travelling in the TARDIS with a third member again?
