Bosnian-Australian model Andreja Pejic has become the first transgender face of cosmetic line Make Up Forever. Following from her contracts with Jeremy Scott and Marc Jacobs, the announcement marks a huge milestone for the transgender community in fashion. With the likes of Lea T fronting campaigns for Redken Haircare, Pejic’s contract makes her one of the first transgender models with a contract with a significant cosmetic line campaign. Speaking to Vogue, Pejic says “It’s good. We’re finally figuring out that gender and sexuality are more complicated“. The campaign is set to début later this year.
