Deadline reports that Academy Award winner Anne Hathawayis set to join The Ambassador’s Wife which has recently been acquired by the Mark Gordon Company. The rights were quickly obtained for the Jennifer Steilnovel soon after its release last month. It was on TV that Hathaway actually made her acting debut in the 1999 TV series Get Real.
The book centers around Steil’s life as the British Ambassador’s wife in Yemen, however the fictional story details an American woman who is kidnapped and the extraordinary lengths she must go in order to be re-connected with her husband. Hathaway will star as well as produce the project which will be distributed by eOne.
