Ariana Grande Joins The Beatles In Taking The Top 3 Spaces On The Billboard Hot 100 | Music News

Ariana Grande released her latest album entitled thank u, next earlier this year, and she has already managed to take over the first three places in the Hot 100. For reference, this is the first time this has happened since The Beatles did it, and the first time ever for a woman to do it.

The album itself also debuted at number one upon its release, so this year is already set to be a good one for Grande.

NME: “Grande’s ‘7 Rings’ is at number 1 for a fourth week, whilst ‘Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored’ made its debut at number 2. ‘Thank u, next’, meanwhile, went to number 3 from 7. All three songs are taken from Grande’s number 1 album of the same name“.

Back in April 1964, The Beatles managed to hold three singles in the top 3 spots for 5 consecutive weeks, and after that they claimed the top 5 spots. Ariana Grande’s new album thank u, next could have potential to do the same, but only time will tell. My guess is “needy” or “NASA” will take the next spot! What’s yours?

“Grande is also the first female artist to replace herself at Number One on the singles chart. ‘7 Rings’ was in the top spot before ‘Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored’ was released”.
