BAPE & DC Comics Team Up To Release A Special Collaboration | Fashion News
It has been 12 years since the two brands A Bathing Ape (BAPE) and DC Comics teamed up for a collection. And now the Japanese clothing brand and the comic book publisher are back with a new surprising collaboration.
Yesterday, the official BAPE Japan Instagram account teased the new collab, sharing images of subtly camouflaged Batman and Superman logos superimposed over gray and blue camo backgrounds, as well as the BAPE and DC logos side by side in red camo.
Back in 2007, the two brands came together for a capsule that included superheroes like The Flash, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman on t-shirts, hoodies, and even crewnecks. These pieces all came with Bape’s signature aesthetic and the collection was a big hit amongst both comic book fans and streetwear enthusiasts.
The upcoming collection includes only Batman and Superman but has a range of black and grey zip-up hoodies with Batman’s pointed ears and the famed Superman logo. It also features coach jackets, one in black featuring the Batman logo on back, while a blue option sports Superman. Finally a set of T-shirts round out the collection matching the teasers shown yesterday.
If you are an interested fan you can purchase the BAPE x DC Comics collection this Saturday, March 30 at all BAPE locations, bape.com. Check out the collection below.
