Belgian Brothers YellowStraps And French Rapper Nelick Release ‘Frissons’ | Music News

With their recent EP Goldress reaffirming all tastemaker acclaim, Belgian alternative R&B duo YellowStraps have embarked on a new music adventure during lockdown and are showing off the fruits of their labour with their latest single “Frissons” featuring French rapper Nelick.

“Frissons” is the first official single of the Yellockdown Project, which has seen the boys releasing one track per week, every week, featuring a different artist, all written in 24 hours. Well-documented via YouTube, their efforts have culminated in a 13-track project, featuring artists from the UK, US, France, Iceland, Holland, and Germany, all created over the internet.

This new release is an R&B-Rap affair with mellow synths and relaxed baseline underpinning the single. Going back to back with Nelick in French, “Frissons” sweetly details the complexities of love with a burgeoning young couple, which Nelick narrates with effortless poise.

Tastemaker acclaim from the likes of COMPLEX, I-D & MAJESTIC CASUAL, radio support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra & Radio 6, plus a loyal global fanbase has seen them rack up an impressive 5.8 million streams across platforms while yet to reach the peak of their powers. With the Yellockdown Project, they look set to continue their European takeover.
