Bonnaroo Festival has finally announced its 2021 lineup!
The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is an American annual four-day music festival that takes place every year since 2002 in the Great Stage Park in the city of Manchester, state Tennessee. It usually starts on the second Thursday in June but 2020 changed the tradition. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year festival was first postponed to September 24-27 and eventually got cancelled.
However, despite multiple waves of the covid virus, the music festival seems ready to go on in 2021. Thus, Bonnaroo 2021, which is now scheduled for September 2-5, marks festival’s 20th anniversary.
The festival organizers have announced two headliners for each day of the festival: Foo Fighters and Megan Thee Stallion on Friday, Lizzo and Tame Impala on Saturday and Tyler The Creator and Lana Del Rey on Sunday. The opening night of Thursday features the lineup including headliner Grand Ole Opry and the British jazz star Nubya Garcia.

As for the health precautions, the organizers “intend to abide by relevant recommendations to ensure a safe and enjoyable festival,” according to the Bonnaroo website. The section “COVID-19 Warning” states that organizers have taken enhanced health and safety measures for everyone, however they remind the visitors “an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present“.
