British Band Kid Apollo Drops Debut Single ‘Alleviate’ | Music News

British band Kid Apollo has just released their debut single called “Alleviate”, a slow R&B track. The band consists of two producers (Theo and Felix) and vocalist Jimmy HM, and this song was inspired by Jimmy’s experience with the people around him.

The record explores how one wishes for an escape from the troubles that they’re going through and Kid Apollo aimed to create a track that was easily relatable for listeners drawing on the relationship of pain to rain as heard in the chorus.

All three members of Kid Apollo were born in London, but grew up together in Reading where they formed a group producing and performing original R&B/hip-hop records. At the age of 16, during their GCSEs, they developed a small fanbase in Reading, gigging often and featuring on BBC introducing Reading. Now all aged 18, they have moved to Brixton, London, where they hope to further their music career as artists.

They are inspired by the likes of Frank Ocean, Mac Miller and Dominic Fike as they take influence from their dynamic beats and how they use their lyrics and subtle melodies to create moving songs. As they take influence from a range of artists, they like to take elements from a variety of genres such as R&B, hip/hop, pop and even jazz.
