British Irish Singer-Songwriter Kitty Releases New Single ‘Sympathy Pains’

Kitty, a 25-year-old Dublin-born, London-raised artist, has unveiled her latest single, “Sympathy Pains,” marking a significant stride in her burgeoning music career. A graduate of the prestigious BRIT School, Kitty has already made a name for herself with her songwriting prowess, notably contributing to Rowan Flack’s “Tipsy on the Tongue.”

Her musical journey, influenced by the likes of Lily Allen and Lianne La Havas, began to blossom at the age of 19 with the release of her first EP, entitled. The EP, which featured standout tracks like “4 Days 4 Nights” and “Girlfriend,” resonated with audiences for its authentic portrayal of life, quickly garnering a dedicated fanbase.

Reemerging with a refined indie-pop sound, Kitty has teamed up with Jules Konieczny, renowned for his work with artists like Tom Grennan and Everything Everything. Konieczny’s production expertise has played a crucial role in bringing “Sympathy Pains” to life. The song draws from Kitty’s personal experiences, specifically detailing the emotional toll of a friend heavily relying on her for support, akin to a therapist.

As Kitty embarks on a new chapter with “Sympathy Pains,” she brings forward a sound honed over the past two years. Her music, characterized by indie-pop arrangements and introspective lyrics, reflects her growth as an artist.
