Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds has outrageously claimed that actor Charlie Sheen, who recently revealed that he is HIV positive, “deserves” the disease. Reynolds was wrongly accused of contracting HIV in the 1980’s and so, feeling as if he would have some sympathy in the matter, Loose Women host Ruth Langsford asked the 79 year-old if he felt sorry for Sheen. To which he is believed to have replied:
“For Charlie, no, he deserves it. He misbehaved badly. Very badly”. Reynolds was on the ITV daytime show promoting his new autobiography. “But you know when you’re that age, it’s tough”, he continued, “all those things are coming at you and it’s difficult. He’s handled it badly I think. His father is a very, very decent man and a dear friend of mine. I feel bad for him, but Charlie, I don’t feel bad for him. He’s getting what he deserves. If you’re going to misbehave like that, they’re going to get you”.
