Camila Cabello Is Back With ‘Bam Bam’ Featuring Ed Sheeran

Three-time GRAMMY Award nominated singer/songwriter Camila Cabello has released her new single “Bam Bam” featuring Ed Sheeran via Columbia Records. It’s a preview of her upcoming album Familia, which will be released on April 8.

Produced by Ricky Reed, Edgar Barerra and Cheche Alara, and written by Cabello, Ed Sheeran and Ricky Reed, the track “Bam Bam” looks very promising. Furthermore, the cinematic music video was directed by Mia Barnes, in collaboration with Dave Meyers, who also directed Cabello’s “Havana”, “Senorita”, “My Oh My” and “Liar” videos.

Following the release of her debut solo album CAMILA in January 2018, the Cuban-born singer-songwriter made a name for herself right off the bat as the first solo artist in nearly 15 years to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Hot 100 and Artist 100 charts in the same week.

Camila also quickly became the number one artist on Spotify worldwide, with her hit “Havana” being the most streamed song of all time by a female artist. She is also the first artist in history to have two multi-format number one singles as the first two singles from her debut album.

After a string of successes and awards over the years, she set the stage last year with “Don’t Go Yet”, which garnered an impressive 232 million Spotify users. The track was the first single from the aforementioned album Familia.

Following on from a first collaboration with Ed Sheeran in 2019 on the gold-certified 2019 banger, “South of the Border”, “Bam Bam” is the first song Camila releases in 2022 and is one of the most anticipated singles of the year.

As a reminder, Ed Sheeran has achieved record sales for his recorded music and live performances, with a plethora of awards to his name. The endlessly talented singer-songwriter is behind some of the biggest songs in history.

In addition to gracing us with her music, Camila has been involved in important causes for several years. She is an ambassador for Save the Children since 2019 for example.

In 2020, she launched the ‘Healing Justice Project’ with the Movement Voter Fund, which provides direct grants for mental health and wellness resources for organisations working to improve and advance this country, especially in the area of racial and economic justice.
