Chanel Reveal 2021 Autumn Ready-To-Wear Collection ‘Coco Neige’ | Fashion News

The French fashion luxury brand Chanel delivered a beautiful virtual fashion show earlier this week to reveal their 2021 Autumn Ready-To-Wear Collection titled Coco Neige, along with a 12-minute video from the fashion show.

The collection was designed by Chanel artistic director Virginie Viard, it was her second collection for the French House. She really took the very classic Chanel values and fashion codes to make this collection. She used the tweed trend and also the big buttons that really dress jackets and any fashion items.

Virginie was inspired by a Chanel icon, Stella Tennant, this lady was the chic incarcerated, bu the artistic director was also inspired by the Norwegian season, with big sweaters, big puffers, cropped jackets – very trendy at the moment – and the final inspiration for this collection was from a previous 1994 collection.

And I quote Virginie talking about her second collection: “This collection is a mix of two influences: the ambiance of ski holidays, which I adore, and a certain idea of cool Parisian chic, from the 1970s to now“. The color palette varies quite a bit, we can find whites, navy blue, or different shades of browns.

The fashion show took place at the famous French nightclub Chez Castel, the place has seen a lot of icons throughout the years such as Françoise Hardy and Mick Jagger, and now it was Chanel.
