No, you’re eyes do not deceive you: that really is Channing Tatum above, dressed as Elsa from Disney‘s Frozen. Tatum donned a glittery dress and ice-blonde wig to perform on Spike TV’s Lip Sync Battle – one of my favourite guilty pleasures.
For those of you new to the show, it goes something like this: host LL Cool J, accompanied by his ‘colourful commentator’ supermodel Chrissy Teigen, invites 2 celebrities (usually A-listers) to go up against each other to mime along to the biggest hits; round 1 is the solo round, round 2 features a huge dance routine and costumes galore. There’s often special surprise celebrity guests and the audience decides the winner.
The Magic Mike star will take on his actress wife Jenna Dewan, in an hour-long episode dubbed the ‘Tatum Takeover’, which airs on Spike in the US on January 7, 2016. You can tune into Spike over here on Freeview channel 31 or Freesat channel 141, and the show is usually repeated on Channel 5 too.
And Lip Sync Battle fans, get a load of this: the UK is getting its very own version and its coming to Channel 5 next year. Mel B will be on hosting duties, and it promises to be a lot of fun.
