Global Citizen Charity Festival takes place at the Great Lawn in Central Park, New York on September 26. The official website describes the festival, saying, “Global Citizen is a community of people like you. People who want to learn about and take action on the world’s biggest challenges—and use their power to get other people involved too.We bring you stories and actions that make a difference. That help fight extreme poverty and inequality around the world, and support approaches that will make life more sustainable for people and the planet“.
The line up for this year’s event has been released and headlining this year will be (curator of the event) Chris Martin, with performances from Ed Sheeran, Pearl Jam and Beyonce.
