Yes, our Friends favourite is making a return to the original UK home of Friends, Channel 4. The sitcom titled ‘Morning Has Broken’ will tell the story of a breakfast show that needs saving from complete failure with David Schwimmer playing the American producer who is hired to do the job.
Julia Davis, the writer behind BBC Three’s ‘Nighty Night’ and Sky Atlantic’s ‘Hunderby’, will be starring in the comedy as Gail Sinclair, The Queen of Daytime. Davis created the show, along with Nick Mohammed, who will also star alongside her on screen as a co-presenter. The comedy will air in 2016, lasting six episodes.
Whilst not the first Friends star to make a comeback on British TV, this will mark Schwimmer’s return to the small screen after stage work and directing. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this show surpasses expectations because, let’s face it, it will be pretty difficult to beat that moment when Rachel didn’t get on the plane.
