20th Century Fox have officially released the age classification rating for the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s latest venture, Deadpool, set for release next month. The film will be R Rated in the US, which to those of us in the UK means an 18 certificate.
The film will contain strong language, excessive violence, and nudity, with raunchy humour – which doesn’t come as a surprise to fans of Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld‘s original comic. They have taken advantage of the freedom they have been given when bringing their creation to life, by creating Ryan Reynolds‘ Wade Wilson a worthy R-Rated anti-hero.
The official rating description is as follows:
“strong violence and language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity” (Via Box Office Mojo).
Deadpool is set for a February 12 release.
