Dutch Pop Singer Eyelar Unveils New Single ‘Doin’ It Again’ | Music News

Dutch singer/songwriter Eyelar has just returned with a brand-new electro-pop song called “Doin’ It Again”. The track is fuelled with lyrics that question unpredictable emotional connections and the conflict that on encounters following your heart.

Co-written and produced by Fred Again (Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Stormzy, Ellie Goulding…), “Doin’ It Again” is built upon a heart rendering pop hook that demonstrates Eyelar’s ability to write emotional, vulnerable and honest songs.

Speaking about the track, Eyelar explains: “have you ever been really good friends with someone and thinking there’s more? Unspoken feelings, looking at each other ten seconds after the conversation is over, thinking it might all be in your head and then they tell you you’re cute. ‘Doin’ It Again’ is about being in love with your friend.

Originating from The Netherlands, Eyelar comes as a well-established songwriter whose catalogue boasts the likes of Charli XCX and Bastille. Amongst her plethora of writing credits is the emotional comeback song “Anyone” for Demi Lovato.

Now London-based, the artist spent the first couple years sharpening her pen and collaborating with pop and alternative artists. She has worked with the likes of David Stewart & Jessica Acombar (BTS, Jonas Brothers, Griff) and Matt Schwartz (Yungblud/Halsey).

The Dutch performer was also due to play her sold out first headline show at London’s Waiting Room on in March this year, but this has now been postponed. Due to popular demand, the venue has been upgraded to Camden Assembly in April 2021.

“Doin’ It Again” follows release of her summer pop-banger “Say It With Your Eyes”. We can’t wait for more from the singer/songwriter, and in the meantime, we’ll let you listen to the song:
