North-west Londoners Tamarind Dream have just released their second single “First Prayer”, a psychedelic soul piece combining beautifully layered, almost chant-like vocals with sensitive, mellow guitar work over a seriously tasty drum groove.
Speaking about the meaning of the song, the band explains: “the song is about reconnecting with oneself from an overwhelming haze of time”.
With their music, Tamarind Dream are able to create a seamless blend of modern psychedelia with elements of R&B and Psychedelic Rock with the spirit of the 1970s. This song is the perfect example of that, and this is what you need if you want to relax, as it conveys a chill vibe to its listeners.
Tamarind Dream is a London-based psychedelic duo, whose music merges funk, alternative R&B and psychedelic soul. If you’re a fan of Tame Impala, Khruangbin and Brent Faiyaz, we highly recommend you take a listen to the sound of Tamarind Dream as we’re sure you’ll love this new offering from the British pair.
“First Player” follows their well-received debut single “Grapefruit” in October, and if you enjoyed Tamarind Dream’s first drop, you should definitely check out this new piece.
Stay tuned for more music from the band.
