Simone Johnson, Dwayne The Rock Johnson‘s daughter, makes her WWE debut as Ava Raine following a two-year injury layoff. Simone Johnson, better known as Ava Raine in WWE, signed with the company in 2020 and has been training at the company’s Performance Center in Florida.
According to the Post, over the past two weeks, whenever the Schism entered the ring, a strange individual appeared in the crowd wearing a crimson robe and a mask. This sparked several ideas concerning the person’s identity. When Gracy urged Raine to remove her mask, all speculation was put to rest.
Raine stated after exposing her identity that her new family, the Schism, completes her.
“The love and acceptance the Schism has given me defy any preconceived notions of who am supposed to be, this family completes me,” she was quoted as saying by Post.
Raine had been appearing on WWE NXT during live events and had shot a promo earlier this year.
According to the Post, the 21-year-old signed with WWE in February 2020 and has been training at the company’s Performance Centre in Florida.
Simone turned to social media in May to introduce her new professional wrestling name after signing with WWE two years ago. Her debut was delayed due to a couple of injuries that necessitated surgery and the ensuing recuperation.
“First of all, what an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps but more importantly, follow in my footsteps sounds cliché, but she wants to create and blaze her path, which is so important”, Dwayne said of his daughter after her deal was signed in February 2020.
