Popular E4 series My Mad Fat Diary has revealed the story line for its upcoming episode (Season 2, episode 5) titled ‘Inappropriate Adult’. In this episode, Rae (Sharon Rooney) begins to push the boundaries she is allowed by her mother as she wants to be treated like an adult. She begins to stay out late and socialise with older boys who her friend Chloe (Jodie Comie) has spoken to.
The show is set in Stamford in Lincolnshire in the 1990s. It follows teenager Rae who is overweight and shows her dealing with mental illness, self-image, bullying, puberty and friends. Claire Rushbrook features as Rae’s Mum, Dan Cohen as friend Archie while Finn Nelson is played by Nico Mirallegro (Hollyoaks).
The TV show is based upon the book My Mad Fat Teenage Diary written by Rae Earl which documents her real-life experiences during her teenage years. The next episode airs on E4 on March 17 at 9PM, however if you cannot wait, you can watch the exclusive premiere right now on 4oD.
