Walt Disney’s Captain America: Civil War is already predicted to be a shield shattering success at the box office, considering the official trailer has already set a record for the most views in 24 hours. Now, Agent 13 herself – Emily VanCamp has teased a possible romance between Captain America and her character also known as Sharon Carter. But with so much action going on, will there really be time for romance?
In a recent interview, VanCamp explained that we’ll only see the beginnings of a blossoming romance between the two characters, she also explained why Agent 13 is Team Captain America. “She’s definitely Team Captain America. That’s who she is within the universe, I mean, she’s always had his back. I sort of wondered, before I read the script, how that was going to pan out. But you really do understand and sort of see both sides of it. I think it was really well done”.
She continued, explaining that there’s always the fan’s concerns at the heart of pairing Captain America with someone: “That’s where it all gets really tricky, because there are diehard fans that want to see him with different people. There’s all the different camps, so hopefully people are happy with it”.
Starring Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America, the movie centres around a feud between the former allies, which will leave the Avengers in turmoil. The movie also stars Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier). See the trailer below and catch the movie on May 6, 2016.
