Enny Owl Shares New Single ‘Alina’ From Forthcoming Album ‘Homes In Humans’

British-born, now Los Angeles-based musician, Enny Owl, unveils her latest track “Alina,” set to be a standout single from her soon-to-release album, Homes in Humans. Slated for a November 3 debut via Weird Sister Records, the album is already generating buzz, thanks to the widely appreciated lead single, “Nicolette,” followed by “Femi.”

“Alina” is more than just a song. As Enny reveals, it carries the profound message of liberating oneself from damaging self-beliefs, especially those that shackle someone due to perceived sinfulness or ungodliness. The song celebrates personal liberation and champions the acceptance and love of those who see us as we truly are.

But “Alina” is just one facet of the “Homes in Humans” mosaic. This concept album navigates the themes of healing and self-discovery. The inception of this album was unique. During the challenging lockdown period in March 2020, Enny reached out to her fans, encouraging them to share their names and thoughts.

From the outpouring of responses, Enny crafted songs, which are the heart of Homes in Humans. The album is a beautiful medley of Enny’s folksy narratives, her passion for Celtic and fantasy soundscapes, and an experimental homage to pop.

Fans in Los Angeles are in for a treat, with a special album release show scheduled on the very day of the album’s launch, November 3rd, at the 2220 Arts + Archives. Enny will be joined by Adriana and the Wildflowers and Jack Rabbit, promising an evening of musical magic.

Often regarded as the voice of nature, Enny Owl’s music is a sonic journey into realms of fantasy and ethereal beauty. Growing up queer in varied Christian households, the singer-songwriter found solace and escape in music.

Her tales of queer love, self-discovery, and loss are beautifully woven with her mesmerizing vocals. With influences such as Florence Welch, Elena Tonra, and Joni Mitchell, Enny’s sound is distinct yet familiar.

Having self-released two albums and an EP, and with achievements like being a finalist on Open Mic UK and the selection of her song “Sandbox” by KCRW’s Today’s Top Tune, Enny Owl is clearly an artist on an ascent, and “Homes in Humans” might just be her magnum opus.
