Avengers: Age of Ultron was yet another fun romp from Joss Whedon and his motley band of superheroes. Though many consider the film inferior to its predecessor, the building of an emotionally complex relationship between Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow and Mark Ruffalo‘s Hulk, alongside James Spader‘s compelling villain, Ultron, make the sequel much stronger in terms of characterisation and continuity.
However, that said, apparently any fears about maintaining quality in the franchise didn’t stop the stars goofing off every once in a while. I especially enjoyed watching Mark Ruffalo struggle with the gobbeldygook nonsense words that come with superhero movies. I’m actually surprised they don’t just let the actors make it up as they go, do you think you’d notice?
