Felicity Jones & Shailene Woodley To Star In ‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’ | Film News

 

Felicity Jones and Shailene Woodley have signed on to star in The Last Letter From Your Lover. Augustine Frizzell will direct the love story, set between London and the Riviera. Jones and Woodley will also executive produce.

 

The film is based on Jojo Moyes‘ bestelling novel, which has sold 3 million copies worldwide and been translated into over 30 languages. The story revolves around Ellie, a young journalist in contemporary London who uncovers a series of love letters telling the story of an intensely romantic but star-crossed affair in the 1960s between Jennifer Stirling and Anthony O’Hare.

 

As Ellie is drawn into the story, she becomes obsessed with discovering the lovers’ identities and finding out how their story ends. Callum Turner, Nabhaan Rizwan, Joe Alwyn, and Ncuti Gatwa will co-star.

 

Jones just played Ruth Bader Ginsburg in On The Basis Of Sex, and will next be seen in Amazon’s The Aeronauts, which hits cinemas on Friday, December 6. Woodley recently reprised her role as Jane Chapman for the second season of Big Little Lies, and will next be seen in Drake DoremusEndings, Beginnings, which will be released early next year.

 

Filming on The Last Letter From Your Lover is slated to begin in Spain next week, before production then moves to the UK.
