First Glimpse At Tim Burton’s ‘Dumbo’ In New Teaser | Film Trailer
The first teaser trailer for Disney’s live-action Dumbo has arrived. This new version of the classic tale is directed by Tim Burton and according to Disney, expands on the well-known story where “differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight”.
The original animated tale opened in 1941, but the new version looks to utilise the wonders of contemporary special effects to bring the titular elephant (and his friends) to life. The trailer is below:
While only a teaser, the clip gets across Burton’s heartstring-tugging vision and is in line with the rest of Disney’s recent live-action adaptations of their classic works. Of course, the last 15 years of Burton’s career have been made up of quite a few poorly received films, but hopefully this collaboration with Disney has gotten his mojo back.
The film is scripted by Ehren Kruger, and stars Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, Alan Arkin, Finley Hobbins and Nico Parker. It opens in cinemas March 29, 2019.
