With the fall TV season approaching soon, expectations are rising for the Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa helmed TV series Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina, produced by Netflix.
The series follows Sabrina Spellman, who “must reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit“.
The show, that will have a darker, more twisted tone to it, stars SAG award winner Kiernan Shipka in the titualr role, alongside Ross Lynch as Harvey, Sabrina’s love interest, and Miranda Otto and Lucy Davis respectively as Zelda Spillman and Hilda Spellman, the two witch-aunts.
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina was born initially as a complimentary series to The CW‘s Riverdale, but eventually got moved to Netflix with a straight-to-order series.
While we wait for some trailer or snippet from the streaming network, the series has unveiled its first two official pictures, featuring Kiernan in the coveted role of the young witch Sabrina.
