First Trailer For Jordan Peele’s ‘Hunters’ Arrives Starring Al Pacino | TV Trailer

Amazon has dropped the first trailer for Jordan Peele‘s Nazi-hunting series Hunters, which stars Al Pacino. Peele is only an executive producer, which usually means next to nothing, but this series seeks to explore American trauma much like his films Get Out and Us did, so his fingerprints are all over it.

Created by David Weil, with a pilot directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (Me And Earl And The Dying Girl), Hunters is set in 1970s New York, and follows a group of concerned citizens who discover Nazis are among them hidden in plain sight. After uncovering nefarious plans for a Fourth Reich in the process, they get together to plot some revenge.

Pacino is the lead, but he’s joined by an impressive supporting cast that includes Logan Lerman, Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, and Carol Kane. The trailer is smartly framed around an impressive speech by Pacino, and only gives us glimpses of what the show will contain. But there’s more than enough here to get excited about.

The show hits Amazon some time in 2020. It’s unclear when at this time. Expect it to make some waves with its timely commentary on hate hiding in plain sight.

Pacino is currently starring in The Irishman, which is in cinemas now and arrives on Netflix next week. Peele is currently developing a Candyman reboot/sequel that he’s certainly helping shape despite the fact he won’t be directing.
